Description:

The SCCM Engineer will be responsible for providing design, deploying, configuring and support of desktop technologies in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Build and maintain deployments and collections using MECM.
  • Distribute and maintain enterprise desktop images.
  • Endpoint management for security patches and software upgrades.
  • Monitoring updates via automatic deployment rules, update groups, and patch compliance.
  • Manage reports including reporting on hardware, software inventory, and software metering.
  • Work with NYC Cyber Command and IT security staff to maintain cyber hygiene.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to deliver metrics.
  • Create and deploy applications with user device affinity.
  • Provide hands-on support for packaging and deploying applications.
  • Continue to improve and scale the existing platform.
  • Provides tier 3 technical support to the Desktop and Software Services Technicians and closely collaborates with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Development, and Intranet teams.
  • Provide expertise in troubleshooting Configuration Manager.
  • Adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.
  • Work with application owners to understand application installation and interaction with the desktop.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with IT application owners.
  • Documentation of application packaging steps and criteria.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design, installation, and maintenance of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing IT engineering services managing Windows desktops and laptops.
  • Experience creating and deploying task sequences for OS Deployments and driver updates.
  • Experience maintaining patch compliance/OS upgrades for laptops not connected to network.
  • Proven experience within a distributed environment of at least 1000 workstations.
  • Application packaging experience.
  • Experience with Cloud based technologies such as Microsoft Autopilot, Cloud Management Gateway, and MECM Co-Management.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, particularly with implementing and troubleshooting of Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
