Mobius is seeking a Systems Engineering Analyst capable of developing and updating code that supports our modeling and simulation capabilities. The analytical activities executed by this position supports the Missile Defense Agency's Office of the Chief Architect for Advanced Concepts Evaluation. The candidate will work with senior systems engineers and subject-matter experts (SMEs) in missile defense, physics, and modeling to develop and execute customer-directed analyses and studies. The candidate should be able to work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to build/update modeling tools that support analysis and study plans, recommend analysis processes/procedures, and perform post-analysis processes as needed to craft briefings for MDA decision-makers. The workplace for this position is currently in Alexandria VA, but may at times, both near-term and increasingly in the future, be located at the government site in Fort Belvoir VA.

Duties of a Systems Engineering Analyst may include:
- Apply scientific and engineering concepts to develop physics-based code to integrate into models & simulations
- Analyzing system performance based on system concept parameters and modeling techniques
- Assist with modeling planned threat scenarios and estimating predicted test performance
- Define and execute runs-for-record of computer models and simulations in support of architecture and concept analyses
- Analyze simulation outputs and prepare presentations of analysis results
- Assist with model development and maintenance, including configuration management, to ensure replicability, scalability, and extensibility of the M&S toolset
- Coordinate with engineering subject-matter-experts, stakeholders, and in analysis planning, executing, and post-analysis activities to update and inform customer design decisions
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience related to this job's tasks and requirements
Desired
- Experience with physics-based model development or simulation
- Experience with System Engineering process (e.g., concept, design/requirements, verification, test, deployment)
- Familiarity with modeling complex systems and coding using C++, MATLAB, Python, and/or Julia
- Familiarity with software version control tools (e.g., GitHub)
- Familiarity with one or more of the following systems/missions or equivalent system-of-systems desired:
- Missile Defense System (e.g., sensors, weapons, battle management, space-based systems)
- Missile Defense Threat Systems (e.g., ballistic, hyper-glide, cruise missiles)
- Missile Defense Kill Chain (e.g., detection, tracking, discrimination, kill assessment)
- Model & Simulation-based system analysis (e.g., system performance, trade space, analysis-of-alternatives)
- Ability to think critically and analyze complex issues in a dynamic environment
Education
- BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, or related field/experience
Clearance
- Active Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI
