Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 5 years relevant experience. An additional minimum of 5 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree, with four or more of the technical categories listed below.
o Microsoft Windows and Server Operating Systems;
o Oracle, RHEL & Linux Operating Systems;
o VMWare Horizon View, vCenter, vSphere;
o Microsoft SCCM, System Center Suite and Patch Management,
o Microsoft 365, EntraID and Exchange Hybrid environments
o Active Directory;
o SAN Infrastructure;
o Disaster recovery/contingency planning;
o DFS Namespace and Replication,
o DNS, DHCP;
o Microsoft Certificate Authority, SSL certificates, KMS licensing
o Dell Wyse Management
o Experience working in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
o Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into both operational and project objectives.
o Remain conversant with the industry's computer security technology and practices with technical skills and applicable experience with related technologies.
Public Trust with the ability to Obtain and Maintain a DOE Q Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide primary support and management of the IT server infrastructure and hosted systems.
Support first-tier technical staff with the resolution of more complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with primary emphasis on server-related issues.
Support System Administration of primary VMware platforms across the site, among other technologies
Provide troubleshooting support for IT staff.
Recommend hardware and software solutions to meet end user and IT needs.
Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation in coordination with the Cyber Security Team.
Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into both operational and project objectives.
Remain conversant with the industry's computer security technology and practices with technical skills and applicable experience with related technologies.
Define and document best practices and support procedures.
