Systems and Network Administrator

We are seeking a Systems/Network Administrator to join our dedicated IT team, with a focus on managing network infrastructure and security. The ideal candidate should have a broad technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to support all areas of IT infrastructure, including user support.
Responsibilities
  • Administer, manage and monitor all network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi networks, ensuring optimal coverage, security, and performance.
  • Install, configure and maintain all network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
  • Liaison with a third-party consultant for larger networking projects.
  • Assist in user and server infrastructure support, disaster recovery planning and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Administer, manage and maintain access controls and security policies.
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve business operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, changes and troubleshooting.
  • Manage vendor relationships for network and IT services.
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support and network administration.
  • In-office presence 5 days a week.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in network-related projects, including implementations, upgrades and decommissioning of systems.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack, network infrastructure, Wi-Fi optimization, virtualization, security principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience managing firewalls, configuring IPSec VPN tunnels and IDS/IPS policies.
  • Strong experience with AWS compute, security, monitoring and network stacks, including EC2, IAM, Security Groups, Route53, CloudWatch, VPC, NAT/Transit Gateway.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with application vulnerability scanning, PEN testing, IDS/IPS.
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewall, WAPs and Juniper switches is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SIEM solutions is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory/EntraID, MDM, virtualization and SaaS platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience using the NIST Framework is a plus.
  • Proficiency in IaS and automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with Ekahau is a plus.
