The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) IT Executive Program, is recruiting to fill a Systems and Platform Administrator vacancy. This position would be stationed at our DNR Headquarters Madison, WI office. Telework is available for up to 60% of the week.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for operationally managing development and collaboration platforms and processes. This includes all aspects of the technical components and processes that are the basis for these functions: Code management tools and environments, DevOps / GIT and related tools and services and their high-level management. This person is also responsible for providing technical and operational direction to the Platform Management team.

Salary Information
The classification title for this position is IS Systems Development Services Consultation/Administration . The starting salary is between $40.00 and $52.00 per hour ($83,200 and $108,160 annually), depending on qualification s. The pay schedule/range is 07-32.
Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
This position includes an excellent benefits package, including health care, vacation, sick leave, and retirement benefits. A 12-month probationary period may be required.

Qualifications:
Minimally qualified applicants will have:
- Experience creating and editing business process and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting and administering cloud, web hosted platforms such as Drupal, SharePoint and creating, maintaining, and running system reports to monitor platforms and systems.
- Experience working with a variety of development and scripting languages (e.g., C, C#, C++, Python, VBScript, PowerShell, batch files, etc)
- Experience monitoring, assigning and prioritizing service request queues in service management software.
- Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PXE, load balancing or other related technologies.
Well-qualified applicants will have:
- Experience and knowledge of DevOps, Git and related processes and technologies. Experience researching, designing, tooling, implementing, automating, maintaining, and providing documentation and consultation on build and deployment pipelines.
- Experience researching, recommending, and implementing new IT tools and technologies including incorporating new technologies into existing roadmaps and upgrade paths and serving as key resource (i.e., lead, architect) in initiation and creation of standards for new tools.
- IT Project Management experience leading IT projects through the entire IT project lifecycle including gathering requirements, design, architecture, development, configuration, testing, implementation and maintenance.
