Job Description

Selectek is hiring for Systems Design Engineers with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cincinnati, OH area working for a growing systems integration firm.

This is full time position, starting as contract, expected to go permanent within 6 months of start date.

ABILITY TO WORK FROM HOME in the Cincinnati area!

Hourly pay range $37-$53/HR, (relevant to experience and education), plus OT and approved travel expenses.

Job description:

• The Systems Designer/Engineer is responsible for systems integration, design, creation, analysis, and testing of automation systems to meet client and project requirements and writing technical documentation.
  
• Undertake various forms of software design and analysis on automation system components while adhering to established company templates.
• Write system code utilizing diverse programming languages and related technologies.
• Create technical documentation for design systems in line with required standards. Collaborate with Managers and Senior Designers to uphold design standards.
• Participate in commissioning processes as per project scope and gain client approval.
• Engage in project reviews alongside peers and managers.
• Develop user functional and technical specification documentation.
• Assist with service calls and small quotes, subsequently reviewing quotes in coordination with Managers or clients.
• Monitor and address high-risk elements within the project's scope.
• Contribute to formulating guidelines, introducing innovative approaches, and drawing insights from comparative situations.
• Be flexible with LOCAL travel, which can be expected to range up to 50%. (Will return home everyday)

Required:

• 2+ years of PLC Programming Platform Experience: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley/Siemens, Omron, Modicon, GE etc. and/or a combination of the following working for a Systems Integrator or manufacturing consultant:
• HMI Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Schneider Electric, etc.
• SCADA Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation, Wonderware, GE, Siemens, etc.
• Servo Motion Control: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Omron, etc.
• Vision Platforms: Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.
• MES Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Sepasoft, Wonderware, etc.
• Database Platforms: Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
• Operating Systems: Microsoft (current and legacy to NT), Unix, Linux, etc.
• Project Documentation: Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

Preferred:

• Pharma Industry experience HIGHLY preferred
• Successful or upcoming completion of Associates or B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related 2 to 4 year Engineering Technology degree.

Sponsorship: No - must be U.S. Citizen or Greencard holder
Pay range: $37/hour - $53/hour + Overtime ($77,000 - $110,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months contract to hire - possible for direct hire
Pay method when direct: Salary plus OT
Location of job: Cincinnati, OH
Hours and shift: Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work (project-driven)
Work from home: Yes
Working remote: No - Need to be local to Cincinnati, OH
Overtime expected: Occasional- Project based
Travel: Local Travel but always come home at end of day
