Spirent is currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to provide direct post-sales support in Test and Measurement. This individual will be an integral member of Spirent's regional sales team.
In this role you will perform a role specializing in Post-sales support and acting as the technical subject matter expert on Spirent's products and solutions. You work with both the Spirent Services and Sales team located in the area and support both the post-sales implementation and deployment of Spirent solutions.
You must be self-driven, comfortable with multi-tasking, able to effectively set customer expectations, complete tasks with little to no supervision, and perform quality work under the pressure of tight customer timelines.

Job Responsibilities
Perform as technical lead within a sales team; provide direct pre-sales support to key customers; understand customer business needs and be able to reflect business benefit through proposed solutions using a consultative approach; tailor Spirent product presentations and provide technical demonstrations to customers to help obtain sales objectives; effectively work with internal/external teams to anticipate and qualify customer needs; identify customer requirements and communicate these requirements/feature requests to Product Marketing; provide post-sales support and on-going customer training, as required; and work with Spirent Support and Engineering teams to help solve customer issues.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related position. Must have experience with Networking, network security, and applications; IP and Ethernet technologies, Data Center Ethernet, 400/100/40/10GigEth, L4-L7 technologies, Cloud Services, Virtualization, OpenFlow SDN/NFV; Application-level protocol knowledge (HTTP(s), FTP, DNS, TELNET, TCP/IP, Streaming Media); Security device knowledge (Firewall, load balancing, IDS, IPS); Routing protocols, both IPv4 and IPv6 including RIP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS; MPLS Protocol knowledge: RSVP-TE, LDP; and Must have 2 years of experience with Sales, Pre-sales, Technical Sales, Systems Engineering or Support. Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
As an alternative, company would accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Must have 3 years of experience in the job offered or related position. Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
