Your role as a Systems Engineer - Senior Level

As a Senior-Level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will play a pivotal role in guiding engineering teams through a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering and solutions engineering. Your direct experience supporting NGA/NRO and/or mission partners will allow you to effectively oversee projects across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) alongside Federal Agencies. You will mentor Mid-level and Junior-level engineers in areas such as scheduling, reliability, resiliency, and integration while conducting crucial analyses like Trade Studies and Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs).

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Government in capturing mission requirements, performing systems integration activities, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality GEOINT solutions. Collaborating within a high-performance environment, your expertise will enhance existing systems and drive innovations that support strategic technical planning and project management across agency boundaries.

Your direct experience supporting NGA/NRO and/or mission partners will be critical in guiding your team through complex problem-solving scenarios. Strong analytical skills will enable you to conduct trade studies, analyses of alternatives, and assess system performance with a focus on reliability and resiliency.

Effective communication skills are essential for translating mission and customer requirements into actionable systems solutions while collaborating with Mid-level and Junior-level engineers. You should possess excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and scheduling tasks across geospatial-intelligence frameworks. A proactive approach to learning about new technologies and cloud service capabilities will enhance your capacity to innovate.

Lastly, a commitment to integrity and excellence will ensure you consistently deliver high-quality results within a dynamic team environment, driving mission success across various agencies.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields
    such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management,
    Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM
    degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
  • Senior-level or higher experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas
    including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems
    engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments
    residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Direct experience supporting NGA/NRO and/or mission partners.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as
    Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer
    Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree
    program.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages, Digital Engineering, processes and tools, Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Certified Systems engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences,
    geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
