The Space Systems Command (SSC) Technical Support (STS) 3rd Follow-on (STS-3) contract provides acquisition, technical and engineering support to the USSF Space Systems Command (SSC) Battle Management Command, Control & Communications Sustainment (BCS).

BCS acquires services to modernize and sustain the Satellite Control Network (SCN). We are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer with experience in engineering to join the BCS STS-3 contract supporting the SCN government team.

Duties include:
Providing systems engineering and integration technical support for satellite communications network systems including Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C), scheduling, communications, and associated systems.
Perform engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of SCN systems.
Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
Participate in technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines, and ensure system modifications meet requirements.

Qualifications Desired
Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB and Python or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN) or similar DoD program.
Current Secret or higher clearance.

Qualifications Required (Skills)
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
Experience with:
o Requirements traceability

o Architecture development

o System-of-systems integration & testing

o Technical document development.
Demonstrated understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies.
Demonstrated understanding of Electromagnetic (EM) or Radio Frequency (RF) concepts, antennas, signal processing, or software engineering.
ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
