Description:

AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer, Level 4 (SE4) to support the Advanced Technology Initiative (ATI) in the High-Performance Computing (HPC) domain.

In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area, this role requires a senior-level engineer capable of gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing large volumes of system architecture and integration data, while applying expert knowledge to complex HPC systems.

Mission: As a Systems Engineer on this government program, you will be responsible for applying systems engineering principles across the full systems lifecycle, ensuring technical integrity, quality, and compliance with SO/IEC 15288 standards.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience
  • Collect, organize, and analyze extensive systems engineering data within the HPC environment.
  • Apply self-initiated and acquired technical knowledge to interpret system architecture and integration in the context of ATI.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of systems engineering deliverables across all lifecycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
  • Provide technical input and guidance to government stakeholders and collaborate with program personnel and senior leadership.
  • Address issues, resolve conflicts, and maintain the overall technical health of assigned systems engineering activities.
  • Support one or more of the 25 process areas as defined by ISO/IEC 15288.


Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth experience in system architecture, software architecture, and system integration
  • Demonstrated initiative in acquiring domain knowledge, particularly in High Performance Computing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of ISO/IEC 15288 and lifecycle-based systems engineering best practices
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical information and contribute to strategic planning


Education and Required Qualification
  • PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience

OR
  • High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general systems engineering experience


Travel
  • Less than 10% of travel may occur.
