Job Description:
Provide technical expertise required to build, install, connect, accredit, operate, and maintain the US portions of two NATO National Gateways, in accordance with the project's concept of operation, technical assessment, client policies, and DoD standards and directives for engineering and cybersecurity.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Recommend system infrastructure hardware and software for procurement
- Serve as lead on system services design for NATO National Gateway modernization
- Participate in technical discussions with Network Engineer, Project Manager, and government lead to inform design development for system services
- Provide hands-on support to install and configure Operating Systems, necessary software, and hardware systems while ensuring security standards and best-practices have been properly implemented
- Configure Core Services to include DNS, Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), E-mail, voice/video gateways, etc.
- Serve as the lead for hardware, software, and system security patching
- Assist in the accreditation process for the hardware and software
Required Qualifications
- Eight years of experience engineering and designing with Windows, Windows Server, Windows Domains, Active Directory,
- Three years of experience with VM Systems, Linux Platforms, and associated systems hardware
- Three years of experience in systems federations
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II-compliant certification
- Exhibit professional qualities:
- Effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
- Work unsupervised, independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work effectively with sponsors, customers, subordinates, users
- Proficient in us of Microsoft Office
- Multi-task among numerous projects
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions in classified environments
- Knowledge of Dell PowerEdge Systems and Design
- Familiarity with Network Engineering principles
- Microsoft, Dell, and/or Linux Certifications, specifically MCSE and RHCE
- Knowledge and/or experience working in Joint networks and systems environments
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT-related discipline
- Experience in lieu of degree: Four additional years of relevant experience
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Requires Sitting (66%), Standing (15%), Walking (15%), Near Acuity (100%), Color Determination (100%), Speaking (100%), Listening (100%), Sight (100%), Use of fingers and hands (100%)
- Position may require travel (some OCONUS) 20% of the time
