SAIC is seeking a Sr. Engineer/Technical Lead to support the NSWC Crane Navy Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Missile Body ISEA Team in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate will assist program leads in establishing the necessary processes and procedures to enable NSWC Crane's role as the Product Integrator for the Weapons System. The In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) is a sustainment activity conducted by the Navy once it has fielded and deployed a system into the force. The ISEA activity entails the long-term sustainment of the system in terms of in-service upgrades, parts management, repair, and general engineering support. The candidate will assist NSWC Crane in identifying, scoping, and resourcing these tasks to allow for accurate implementation and execution. The role includes requirements planning and management, and strategic planning for product sustainment, product development, pier-side support equipment, ship installation planning and procedures, Navy training, and engineering services.
Note: This position is a hybrid/flexwork position requiring candidates to be in office approximately 3 days a week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Help devise strategy, roles and responsibilities, and procedures for the Missile ISEA role. Example activities are:
- Decomposition of ISEA key tasks and activities
- Conduct interviews and associated fact finding with Navy ISEA organizations to better understand missile ISEA considerations and tasks
- Assess current capabilities as they would apply to the Missile ISEA role to identify areas of strength and capability gaps
- Support Systems Engineering activities and help document/manage design interfaces.
- Develop plans, coordinate work teams, contribute to technical working groups, and provide technical support to Crane CPS leadership.
- Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution
- Document Joint ISEA Teaming Strategy (NSWC Crane and NUWC Newport) and help transition existing ISEA workload to NSWC Crane, as needed.
- Help identify ISEA costs to inform Program Life Cycle Cost Estimate
- Provide input into WS ISEA Master Schedule
- Provide input into Sustainment Performance Metrics and Collection, and Performance Metrics and Collection
- Help establish Product Support Agreements
- Perform Technical and Business Case Analysis to investigate Potential ISEA tools and processes required
- Contribute to APM and Canister Product Support Analyses
- Help update the Technical Capabilities Document
- Plan for Shipboard/Shipyard Installation, tests and inspections
- Recommend improvements to test procedures and equipment
- Review and recommend improvements for APL, COSAL, and provide technical support and drawing reviews.
- Review and update equipment installation control drawings (ICDs)
- Support planning for Navy Training and manning
- Help identify and plan for Certification and Accreditation approvals
- Ensure processes are in place to ensure changes to CPS Weapons system design are required for technical performance and are appropriately documented and managed
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Discipline and 9+ years' experience; Master's and 7+ years' experience. Experience must be relevant DoD ISEA experience (Navy, Army, AirForce, MDA, NASA)
- Interim secret required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
