Systems Engineer Principal

Description

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Principal for our North Charleston, SC location. This role requires 25% travel.

Responsibilities:

• Work with technical teams through the DoD acquisition engineering process as in: actively participate in and provide technical input for Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, requirements development, design, test, and fielding.
• Develop and assist with review of project engineering documents as required to include Technical Data Packages (TDP), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), engineering design solution documents, and technical evaluations.
• Work with Functional Leads including Configuration Management (CM), Logistics, Test & Evaluation (T&E), and Cybersecurity on related tasking to ensure all network engineering issues impacting site, system, or Government acceptance of the system are addressed.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the discussion and input to technology roadmaps.
• Identify considerations in implementation of various materiel solutions.
• Assist in the market research, as required, to support analysis of solutions to meet capability requirements.
• Conduct research and propose recommended changes to the Marine Corps Software Defined Access Base Area Network technical design and/or other leading technologies supporting solution requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's and 9 years of experience, Master's and 7 years of experience, or PhD and 4 years of experience.
• Experience with DoD, USMC, or NIWC.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills.
• Experience developing requirements documents.
• Experience developing test documentation.
• Experience in leading the performance of test events for DoD.
• Experience in coordination of test event activities with senior-level site personnel responsible for system acceptance.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
