We are looking for someone to help us solve hard problems as we tackle complex challenges in scaling production of cutting-edge energy products, ensuring our systems and processes meet the rigorous demands of rapid growth and global impact.
As a Systems Engineer within the Quality team, you will play a pivotal role in building and refining processes that ensure the reliability and excellence of Tesla's energy products. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate across production areas, departments, and levels to embed quality into every stage of manufacturing. This role demands a blend of systems thinking, data-driven problem-solving, and a passion for sustainable innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Systems architecture for each business process
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities (potential gaps between process and system) across all business functions, developing tools that allow for visibility into process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
  • Prioritize multiple projects across all departments and systems and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other sites and teams to drive towards common solutions which will become Tesla's "best practices"
  • Perform training to various functions on new roll outs and functionality changes
  • Business point of contact for users for day-to-day queries and adoption
  • Lead internal auditing to monitor progress towards goals
  • Communicate ISO 9001 requirements to business stakeholders while ensuring flexibility


Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3+ year of experience in industrial or systems engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of quality system industry standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or AIAG
  • Project management experience
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaborate well across diverse functional groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage and communicate the health and integrity of the data and systems
  • Demonstrated track record of taking initiative and delivering results
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Comfortable with making decisions with incomplete information
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Statistical Process Control) or certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus
