OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for the availability of IT systems in Texas and South Carolina. Act as site lead for existing physical and virtual infrastructure, administer infrastructure in the cloud and help accelerate future technologies. Secure IT systems from threats, deliver solutions using security by default principles that reduce risk to business, focal point during cyber incidents. Collaborate with different teams to deliver excellent project results.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally: Climb stairs to top of tanks, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, balancing, pushing or pulling, grasping, repetitive use of legs, lifting or carrying 10-25 pounds.
Frequently: Sitting, standing, walking, walking in or out of turnstile, be able to evacuate in an emergency, bending over, repetitive use of hands/arms, fine manipulation, making decisions, discriminating colors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administer computing, storage and network resources in the cloud (Azure IaaS). Collaborate with developers to provide a stable, secure cloud environment.
- Oversee the Cisco wired and wireless LAN network, fiber topologies and high-availability Stratix and Hirschmann switching and related protocols at industrial facilities.
- Work with Internet Service Providers to maintain reliable and secure WAN and Internet circuits.
- Support and maintain network-attached storage systems for virtualized servers; protect storage systems and servers using on-prem backup solution.
- Administer hosts in multiple virtualized clusters; administer Windows guests to provide critical business services.
- Adhere to security policy and practices to protect systems, detect incidents, respond to them and recover when necessary. Contribute to the IT disaster recovery plan and improvements.
- Apply system hardening so that network, storage and computer are less prone to attack.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Contribute to the long-term strategic plan for computer, network and storage; keep technology up to date and aligned with business objectives.
- Administer application and desktop delivery - Citrix StoreFront, server virtual delivery agents and client workspace.
- Hands-on hardware maintenance and installation in data center, onsite IDF and MDF facilities and industrial facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Working in a fast paced, operational IT business unit with a focus on safety - planning, risk management, change management, proactive versus reactive approach, etc.
- Collaborating in larger multi-disciplinary projects to ensure IT perspective is understood and accepted.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex multi-system issues.
- Migrating services from on-prem IT functions to Azure IaaS and PaaS.
- Helping internal IT staff, IT vendors, remote support teams and 3rd party contractors to plan and complete activities in a timely manner.
- Contributing to the strategic technology roadmap and long-term IT financial plan.
- Using technology to innovate and improve business results.
