Tech7 is looking for a Systems Engineer with Network Experience to join our team located at 2424 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity for telework 1-2 days per week at the discretion of the Government. The ideal candidate must live within commuting distance to Colorado Springs, Co.

Salary range: Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Pay Transparency Range: $100,000 - $125,000.00 annual.

Job description / Duties:
- Support Government Program Management Office in developing and maintaining robust network architectures. Advise on network architecture development, implementing cybersecurity practices, develop critical program technical documentation. Interface with various stakeholders to bring state-of-the-art network capabilities into the architecture. Additionally, required to play key role in system integration, validation, and risk management activities.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:- Apply network architecture development and engineering knowledge to advise the Government Program Management Office
- Identify communication protocol and schema requirements for seamless data transmission across a globally distributed network of sensors
- Author Application Programming Interface (API) requirements to support machine-to-machine autonomous sensor management
- Implement cybersecurity, information assurance, and risk management practices for DoD networks
- Support Security Impact Assessment (SIA) activities and balance accreditation risk with capability delivery requirements
- Interface with industry, FFRDCs, and other government organizations to integrate state-of-the-art network capabilities into the architecture
- Provide technical advice on SDA network infrastructure and architecture, assisting in developing integration/deployment frameworks
- Support evaluation and validation of network systems, including developing criteria and procedures
- Participate in requirements development, test plan coordination, and verification activities with contractors and stakeholders
- Provide technical recommendation support services, including reviews, audits, evaluations, and analyses
- Participate in trade studies to support the selection of preferred design solutions and commercial components
- Support the development of system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios for network system integration testing.
- Review and provide input for overarching system design and required programmatic documentation
- Identify and track development and sustainment risks and develop strategies to mitigate identified risk conditions
- Coordinate and lead resolution of system issues and deficiencies with contractors
- Provide input to acquisition planning activities, upgrades, modifications, and studies
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government direction
Education / Experience required
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- PMP Certification: DAU DAWIA, or equivalent Acquisition Program Management Level II or III training
- 4 years of direct relevant experience, 2 of which must be in the DoD.
Additional qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance, agreeable to polygraph
- Proficiency in designing, configuring, and managing complex network architectures
- Extensive background in serving as an Information Systems Security Manager
- Experience with ISO standards implementation
- Familiarity with software design principles and methodologies
- Prior experience in the accreditation and operation of DoD computer networks
- Experience in DoD Acquisition Program Management and proposal evaluation
