Kasmo Inc. is looking for a System Engineer withan electronic hardware background and interest who can manage writing skill requirements, documentation, and basic aptitude for analysis. This is an Automotive Functional Safety role to ensure products are compliant with ISO 26262.

Job Duties:
- Perform software development for Fu Sa compliant features in Eclipse, requirements generation, documentation, and analysis in support of Automotive Functional Safety, ISO 26262.
- Design and stimulate circuit layouts for a new series of control transformers.
- Create Test scripts and perform Acceptance testing, reliability and resistance testing using P-Spice, Oscilloscope and Lab conventional tools.
- Update the software and review the Functional safety documents related to the Embedded C and Machine Architecture.
- Analyze the C code and Matlab control Algorithms & Assessments of them using CAN tools and simulation.
- Develop system architecture and define requirements for diesel engine and electronic module product development.
- Conduct technical product reviews, performing in-depth analysis and assessments to ensure design integrity and compliance.
- Update and refine development processes based on review outcomes and engineering feedback.
- Verify completion through checklists, ensuring accurate documentation and formal release of deliverables.
- Generate the flash file and test it on the Software bench test system SIL (Software in the loop) and machine-level architecture HIL (Hardware in the loop).
- Investigate and perform problem-solving and corrective actions promptly, generating tickets updating the server with versions, and working as a liaison between the customer and technical team.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automotive Engineering is required.
- Basic understanding of functionally safe hardware, including key concepts, current technical standards, and the integration of hardware/software in modern electronics.
- Proficiency in software development for Functional Safety (FuSa) compliant features using Eclipse and Embedded C, aligned with ISO 26262 standards.
- Experience in software updates, reviews, and analysis related to embedded systems and machine architecture.
- Ability to analyze C code and MATLAB-based control algorithms for automotive applications.
- Familiarity with CAN tools and simulation environments for algorithm validation and assessment
- Ability to follow both specific and general guidance for requirements generated by lead systems and technical engineers, including resolving discrepancies between documented requirements and leadership expectations.
- Strong capability to interpret and communicate requirements across systems, subsystems (System of Consideration - SoC), and boundary interfaces within modern vehicle platforms.
- Familiarity with AutoSAR is preferred but not mandatory.
- Practical experience working with electronic hardware such as engine control units and smart sensors.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in technical analysis and validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, particularly for documenting technical requirements.
