Responsibilities:
- Assess business impact of incidents through direct customer interaction
- Troubleshoot and analyze batch and application issues, ensuring prompt resolution
- Resolve incidents using application tools and databases
- Coordinate with development teams to migrate fixes into production
- Provide on-call support during weekdays and weekends as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience; Master's degree is a plus
- 10+ years of hands-on experience deploying and supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale
- 4+ years of experience in cloud support (AWS), including migration and operating resilient platforms
- Experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes
- Strong background in distributed and highly concurrent service-based architectures
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting, etc.) for automation
- Experience managing infrastructure using tools such as IAM, ARM, Terraform, and Chef
- Solid understanding of cloud computing and DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk)
- Extensive experience with Oracle and PL/SQL, including writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot code in PL/SQL, Perl, and Shell scripting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve data quality issues, system functionality concerns, and business queries
- Experience providing support for trading, portfolio management, and research applications
- Technical proficiency in Linux, database systems, networking concepts, and ITSM best practices
- Experience with batch scheduling software such as Autosys is a plus
- Ability to evaluate platforms and recommend improvements in automation, security, and CI/CD practices
