Our client a prominent local CPA firm with 120 plus professionals seeks a Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity in a growing firm for the right individual interested in advancing to Partner. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review federal and multi-state returns and projections for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Through firm-sponsored and self-directed training, stay current on tax law and other research in order to ensure the proper identification and resolution of complex tax issues; communicate findings to colleagues
  • Lead teams, provide feedback, and mentor individuals in order to ensure excellent work product
  • Communicate status to partners and maintain positive relationships with client
  • Ensure utmost client trust in team
  • Advise client on tax planning and income tax issues
  • Assist staff in work-flow and project management


Qualifications & Required Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years recent experience with a CPA firm. Masters of Taxation preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets
  • Ability to mentor staff and seniors, assist in the supervision of the tax department
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate and communicate potential tax risks and planning opportunities
  • Oversee all aspects of Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate issues
  • Review returns and research complex tax matters
  • Provide consulting and compliance work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
