The largest portion of the Company's business involves procuring and processing flue-cured, burley, and dark air-cured leaf tobacco for manufacturers of consumer tobacco products. Summary
The Corporate Tax Manager prepares the annual consolidated federal income tax return (including foreign company information returns) and supporting work papers, state income tax returns and federal and state estimated and extension payments. This position also assists with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and financial statement reporting. This position will assist in tax research and various non-income tax filings.

Summary

This position also assists with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and financial statement reporting. This position will assist in tax research and various non-income tax filings.
What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
- Supports the ASC 740 tax provision process, including book/ tax difference calculations, internal and external reporting.
- Manages compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures for the accuracy of financial and tax information, including appropriate documentation.
- Manages the US federal and state income compliance process to include use of income tax software and preparation or review of support workpapers, fixed asset documentation, state apportionment, and quarterly estimates.
- Responsible for the preparation of foreign information returns included in the US federal return.
- Assist tax and other departments with preparation of various international forms for Pillar Two, dividends, residency, and other topics.
- Maintains the tax calendar to ensure compliance with all deadlines.
- Keep current in relevant US federal, state, and international tax law changes.
- Provide technical and analytical support to other tax and non-tax personnel and departments to include tax law monitoring, research, and planning projects on various tax topics.
- Supports required responses to audits and queries received from tax authorities with research and communications.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience required.
- Federal and state income tax compliance experience required.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft products, especially MS Excel required.
- Knowledge of tax research techniques and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- OneSource or Corptax income tax software experience preferred.
