We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax planning, preparation, and compliance for our clients, particularly focusing on high-net-worth individuals and C/S corporations. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to provide strategic business planning advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct tax research to stay updated on changes in tax laws and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
- Provide tax planning services for high-net-worth individuals and corporations, including strategic advice on financial decisions.
- Direct and mentor junior staff in the preparation of various tax documents and compliance reports.
- Interact with clients to discuss their tax needs, provide guidance, and address any concerns on tax matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles.
- Review and analyze multi-state tax issues and prepare solutions for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
- Proven experience in tax research, tax planning, and tax preparation.
- Excellent client interaction and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
