Tax Manager
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Tax Manager. Some of the job functions include but is not limited to: delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within time frame, building relationships and interacting with other team members to provide excellent consulting and expertise, cooperating with outside CPAs and headquarters in CA and KR to get accurate direction internally, providing innovative tax planning and reviewing various tax returns.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Legal Advisor is $106,700-$119,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.

Job Responsibilities for a Tax Manager:
- Ensure effective tax management, overseeing the preparation and review of tax reports, ensuring accuracy, and proactively addressing any identified issues.
- Develop staff members through technical training, which may include development of training material.
- Manage tax filings for direct and indirect taxes, BEPS, and Transfer Pricing, adhering to all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete working papers supporting all federal and state tax positions, including providing support for IRS and state audits.
- Monitor and manage tax compliance, including sales and use taxes, federal/state tax incentive programs, and international taxes with related parties, staying up to date with regulations and promptly addressing any potential concerns.
- Prepare intercompany and/or related party transactions on monthly basis to consolidate financial and tax report with Glovis America, Inc
- Support and own the internal control framework of the company and tax department.
- Implement improvements and modify accounting policies, procedures, techniques, and mechanisms if risk is found in assessment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for a Legal Advisor:
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8-12 years of direct job experience
- Field of Experience: Accounting
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 10+ years of direct job experience
- Field of Experience: Accounting & Taxation
- Certification/License: Certified Public Accountant License/Candidate
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong technical expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting is required.
- Ability to construct logical arguments to support tax position is required.
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP & IFRS) is required.
- Experience in international taxation is preferred.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Korean bilingual is preferred.
