In This Role, You Will:
- Oversee the calculation and reporting of the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including effective tax rate analysis, deferred tax asset/liability rollforwards, and FIN 48 positions.
- Analyze and model the tax implications of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and internal restructurings.
- Support external audit and advisor relationships by managing the flow of tax-related documentation and responding to information requests.
- Evaluate tax basis balance sheets and contribute to purchase accounting adjustments as part of M&A activity.
- Stay abreast of evolving federal and international tax legislation and assess its impact on corporate tax planning and accounting.
- Collaborate with treasury, legal, and finance teams to align tax strategy with business goals.
- Assist in developing and implementing best practices across tax reporting and compliance processes.
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA a plus.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax, ideally with a blend of public accounting (Big 4 or mid-sized firm) and in-house corporate tax exposure.
- Strong technical background in ASC 740 and income tax accounting principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
