The role of Tax Senior within the Manufacturing & Distribution tax practice group. This candidate will prepare and review domestic and multinational, businesses to ensure compliance state and federal tax regulations. Tasks will include preparing intermediate level returns, reviewing basic tax return engagements, as well as researching and consulting on tax matters. The Tax Senior is responsible for supervising, motivating, and developing our tax associates to become future members of this industry group.

Responsibilities
Apply tax knowledge to intermediate and complex, multi-state business tax returns
Assist domestic and multinational businesses with income tax accounting reporting within their financial statements
Work effectively in analyzing business transactions
Perform complete & efficient reviews of business tax returns while providing guidance to other staff
Gather data from customer, Assurance department, and third party sources
Perform tax research with view for alternatives to satisfy customer's objectives
Resolve all open items/issues encountered on assigned engagements
Actively monitor engagement economics by managing budgets and seeking efficiencies
Direct and control concurrent assignments to successful completion
Bottom-line management of assigned engagements and individual productivity opportunities, becoming a subject-matter expert in one or more technical aspects
Teach, develop and oversee staff through engagements; delegate assignments and tasks
Provide honest, objective and constructive feedback in timely manner to staff
Collaborate to identify and sell opportunities among existing customers
Serve as a mentor and role model through active participation in firm committees, departmental matters, and events
Active in recruitment of new and experienced staff
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the practice
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree in Tax, preferred
2+ years of recent public accounting experience
Experience with corporate tax accounting, ASC 740 preferred; International, a plus
Ability to prepare and/or review complete set of financial statements
CPA certification or significant progress towards certification
Strong oral and written communication skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong time and work management skills
