Work Schedule

Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Individual and work group schedule determined by the North Central and West Texas Division.

This position is a member of our North Central and West Texas division.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Direct strategic planning and provide leadership for the region's program managers, assuring effective implementation of agency programs.
  • Promote and participate in public outreach activities, encouraging community awareness and involves communicating and coordinating with elected officials.
  • Direct all administrative functions related to the DFW Region.
  • Select, develop, and supervise the region's management staff.
  • Oversee and participate in the development of the regional budget.
  • Serve as the regional office contact to the Agency Records Management program concerning records retention, storage, access, and destruction.


Qualifications:

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in personnel management (i.e., hiring, developing staff, performance management, assigning work and special projects, etc.) and/or experience in managing activities in a TCEQ regional office.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

OR

Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department to include professional management experience where primary duties consists of planning organizing, controlling, and directing the work of an organization or formal subdivision, or team.

OR

Experience as a special assistant to a TCEQ director or deputy director developing management policies and directing/evaluating operations.
