White Center Hights Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher IAC to join our team of educators for the 2024-2025 school year!

SUMMARY: A Special Education teacher works with students found eligible for special education services through the Highline Public School's Special education process of identification and evaluation. Eligible students access learning in their Least Restrictive Environment determined by their IEP (Individualized Education Plan) team. Instruction is provided by certificated teachers with Special Education degrees or endorsements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Current Washington State Teacher's certificate with appropriate subject area endorsement(s).
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Criminal background clearance and all certificates, licenses, endorsements, permits, and vaccines (absent exemption) as required for this position by state and local authorities.
