Salary Range: $85,665.00 to $96,216.00/

The job of "Teaching & Learning Manager" is to lead administrative operations for the Teaching & Learning Department. This role involves managing department workflows, ensuring effective communication with staff, public, and other districts; overseeing compliance with financial, legal, and administrative requirements; and managing various department programs and projects to support the districts mission.

Essential Job Functions:
Oversees the daily workflow of the department

Prepares, verifies and monitors the departments budgets in its entirety

Creates and maintains efficient and organized files, including adopted textbook library and professional development attendance records.

Verifies staff development attendance records and clock hour records, for the purpose of easy retrieval of documentation and providing accurate information for payroll purposes.

Purchases curriculum and supplies in a fiscally responsible manner while adhering district purchasing procedures, to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effectiveness.

Develops all professional development training schedules and projects and monitors costs

Thoroughly evaluates and coordinates travel arrangements for conferences in a fiscally responsible and efficient manner; including registration, flights, hotel, advanced meals, and travel expense reimbursements.

Monitors grant opportunities, eligibility criteria, and application deadlines.

Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to prepare, draft, proofread, and finalize grant proposals and supporting documents.

Manages the EGMS grant application process, ensuring timely submission and compliance.

Oversees grant compliance, reporting requirements, and accurate record-keeping for funded projects.

Reconciles monthly expenditures, approves budget-aligned spending, and maintains financial accuracy.

Projects costs.

Reviews department contracts for accuracy of agreed upon terms.

Identifies and informs Director of potential areas of concern.

Supports adoption process and cycle, from beginning (identification of materials) to end (purchase and distribution).

Supports the workload of Director and Associate Directors of Teaching & Learning, in addition to the department's instructional coaches (HiCap, ML, Ed Tech, ELA, Math) and programs (BEST, LAP, ML, TPEP, Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV) for the purpose of ensuring department work is accurately completed in a timely manner.

Other Job Functions:
Be flexible to job responsibilities as office may be restructured over time.

Be flexible with working hours and make adjustments as needed to meet department needs.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance and is punctual to assigned duties.

Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect equipment, materials and facilities.

Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred
Minimum of four years of administrative experience with increasing levels of responsibility
EGMS experience highly desired.

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Skills to operate standard office equipment with accuracy including proficiency in typing (50 wpm); 10-key; accounting; word processing, spreadsheet and database computer applications; use English in both written and verbal form; use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation; perform extensive arithmetic calculations; be astutely detail-oriented; possess organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge and utilization of Skyward.

Skills to operate multiple communication systems, such as electronic mail, computers, documents readers, and projectors.

Must possess positive and effective managerial skills to include working in a team environment and possess a high degree of professional ethics and confidentiality.

Must possess ability to multi-task with constant interruptions in a high demand, fast paced office environment.

Ability to be creative and intuitive with projects.

Ability to sit for prolonged periods, work with minimal supervision, understand and carry out verbal and written instructions, handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines. Demonstrate good memory, good judgment and ability to work well under pressure.

Significant physical abilities include ability to lift up to 40 lbs., reaching/handling and finger dexterity, talking/hearing conversations, near visual acuity/visual accommodation.
