bout this opportunity
s a member of a dynamic development team, the Team Lead Technical QA will be actively involved in many different aspects of verifying DZS Next Gen Optical Edge Transport Modules. This individual makes sure all aspects of Verification and Validation management and execution are managed, including planning, estimation, risk mitigation, automation, reporting etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do
  • Prepare overall Verification and Validation plans for assigned features
  • Develop test plan, test strategies and frameworks based on risk analysis
  • Direct Test team members and assign tasks to them based on their strengths
  • Work with release management to prioritize daily tasks of team members
  • Investigate, identify, and expand areas of automation
  • Verify that software functions according to functional and user requirements and software design specifications
  • ssist in the testing of systems, modules, and prototypes
  • Work closely with Software development team to efficiently troubleshoot problems
  • Conduct ongoing regression and integration testing of the product
  • Prepare testing effort estimates based on design and requirements documents
  • Draft test reports on a weekly basis to provide update on verification progress
  • Participate in technical design document review throughout design and verification cycle
  • Explore new methods for software verification and validation
  • Maintain testing environments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in optical transport product verification; 2+ years of experience in Team Lead/Project Lead
  • Thorough understanding of Software Quality Assurance methods
  • Experience with CDC-ROADM, Optical Transponder/Muxponder
  • Thorough understanding of various types of software testing (blackbox, stress, performance benchmarking, regression, etc.)
  • Good understanding of general packet and optical networking principles
  • Familiarity with software defect tracking system such as JIRA or Bugzill
  • Experience with optical Ethernet/OTN test sets such as EXFO, Viavi and Ixi
  • Experience with software version control using Git or SVN
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • bility to interface with various disciplines/functional groups
  • Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skill
ssets You May Possess
  • Experience with NETCONF/RESTCONF API testing is an asset
