Position Overview:

The Current Schedules Team Lead is a subject matter expert in systems, processes, and fulfillment for the Network Schedules team, as well as a guide and mentor for their direct reports. The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing one region and managing three direct reports. The Team Lead will be directly responsible for two logistics sites and VT schedules. The qualifying candidate must love helping people and must be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. This position will report directly to the Manager, Network Schedules. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop, mentor, and manage a team of analysts, providing the team with positive and constructive feedback
  • Partner with cross functional teams and stakeholders to prioritize fulfillment initiatives
  • Identify areas of opportunity where you will work to implement new processes and revamp old processes to optimize efficiencies
  • Maintain and produce daily, weekly and monthly reports of quality metrics and respective targets and goals
  • Proactively and effectively communicate with team, field, and LOPS leadership through all modes of communication
  • Overall responsible for metrics, targets, and goals in the region(s) you support, in addition to being directly responsible for 2 sites and VT schedules within the region(s)
  • Execute consistent one on one's with your team to drive engagement, performance, and development to all direct reports
  • Help team understand and work through shifting priorities
  • Resolve escalated issues from the field and escalate necessary issues to manager as necessary and maintain open, consistent communication with Leadership


What the job requires:

To be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.
  • 2+ yrs experience in a senior or above position in logistics or similar field
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline like mathematics, operations research, supply chain, engineering required, but will consider experience
  • Have an expert understanding of the entire logistics network, management systems, and the overall effects of real world constraints
  • Have an ability to work with other team members to solve problems, answer questions and train on standard processes
  • Expert skills in Excel utilized for ad hoc analysis
  • Experience training others and strong problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in leading and coaching others
  • Ability to work as a team player and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize effectively
  • Possess the energy and drive to accomplish goals, meet deadlines and find solutions
