The Technical Account Manager of Government Accounts is responsible for supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in technical matters along with site implementation support along with assisting the Senior Account Manager - Government Accounts on inside sales support and program success of government customers including but not limited to FAA and GSA (General Services Administration).

The Technical Account Manager of Government Accounts will use their technical and commercial knowledge to influence power systems designs, requirements and specifications, advise detailed costing and quotation development for projects and provide compliance information. This role will manage the fulfillment of key projects to meet customer expectations, deliver projects on time, and manage project costs.

This Technical Account Manager of Government Accounts role acts as a factory point of contact to support and coordinate day-to-day activities, equipment issues, technical matters and administer corporate accounts contracts in the government market segment. The responsibilities encompass RFQ interpretation through equipment design to commissioning and beyond.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Technical Account Manager of Government Accounts role is broken down into two support roles which constitute a part-time role for each. The first role of the Technical Advisor is to support the FAA in the following areas, while the second role is to further support the FAA and GSA with request for quotes, manage orders from those accounts and provide technical pre-sales support to those accounts.

FAA Technical Advisor (60% of position)
  • Interface with the FAA to ensure that technical requirements are met
  • Advise the FAA on technical matters related to EGS
  • FAA's main POC for FAA engineers for equipment issues/questions
  • Attend start-ups as needed or as defined in task order
  • Provide punch list items identified during startups to the Implementation Team.
  • Attend meetings (Technical Interchange, Program Review, others as needed), conferences, trade events, etc. as necessary


FAA and GSA Account Support (40% of the position)
  • Assist FAA/GSA Program manager in handling the Government Accounts
  • Assist with customer visits, factory witness tests, assist with Program Review and Technical Information Meetings as required by the FAA contract
  • Attends customer sales calls and trade shows to develop customer relationships as product and technical sales support
  • Manages and schedules products and/or services to fulfillment. Coordinates activities with shipping, warehousing, installation and start-up as required by the contract
  • Reviews customer purchase orders and invoices for accuracy. Coordinates any changes with Sales Administration, Scheduling, and/or Operations


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1-3 years' experience with Government account support
  • 1-3 years' experience with Engine and/or Electrical technical aptitude
  • 1-3 years' experience of technical troubleshooting
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a government security clearance.


Work mode: Hybrid-2-3 days a week

The salary range for this position is $79,500.00 - 100,450.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
