This a position is critical to the success of our Cloud Foundation project, Cloud migration and Cloud Research Project. This role helps in design and engineering Cloud systems and services.

Job Summary
The Opportunity

The Technical Architect is a systems logistics subject matter expert that designs, implements and maintains IT systems for business clients. Responsible for designing the structure of new technology, overseeing the implementation of programs, and liaising with software development teams.

Essential Functions
-Performs program landscape research and analysis (e.g., internal and/or external market, sales, delivery), forecasting, and examines business trends (e.g., customer feedback and expectations) to identify audience size and program scope, stay current, agile, and competitive.
-Identifies and scopes opportunities to develop new initiatives and improve current ones.
-Identifies and provides solutions to root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis), defines the program strategy, gathers program requirements, identifies resource needs, creates the project plan and targets, and works across teams to align on the plan of record.
-Improves operations of existing initiatives by applying industry methodology, defining complex program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues.
-Works with cross-functional stakeholders to design compliant complex programs from initiation to delivery, with minimal coaching.
-Defines and tracks the success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs], such as quality, adoption, usage, impact, effectiveness) for the program.
-Utilizes direction and strategy from leadership regarding business area of expertise in order to help create and execute plans that shift current priorities to new organizational initiatives and objectives, and influences others to change behavior accordingly.
-Defines vision and strategy for change, broad and specific impact, and the flow of communication to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
  • MGB can consider experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in software development, systems architecture, or a related field. 8-10+ years required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for Success
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and best practices, including microservices, APIs, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Strong knowledge of data architectures, including data modeling, database design, and data integration.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other members of the IT team, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to other members of the IT team.

Azure Specific Skills:
  • Design robust, scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Implement and manage secure Azure environments, including Azure AD, networking, security controls, and policies.
  • Lead technical assessments, ensuring best practices in Azure cloud deployments, including governance, compliance, and cost optimization.
  • Develop automation via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Azure solutions with business objectives and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within Azure cloud infrastructure and integrated applications.
  • Coordinate with application teams to plan migrations, upgrades, or deployments onto the Azure platform.
  • Manage identity and access, including Conditional Access Policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and privileged identity management (PIM).
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines within Azure.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentoring on Azure services and architecture to development teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor and recommend enhancements, aligning with Microsoft updates, evolving technology trends, and organizational priorities.
