The role:

Sectra is embarking on a journey to lead PACS replacement projects across Canada. We aim to revolutionize healthcare imaging solutions across regions and provinces, leveraging Sectra's cutting-edge technology and expertise to enhance patient care and streamline medical workflows. As a Technical Engineer your role will focus on designing, deploying, and supporting critical systems that drive improved clinical outcomes.
  • Engage with hospital system administrators and end-users to understand their daily operations and workflows.
  • Responsible for the installation and configuration of Sectra's enterprise imaging solutions on public cloud platforms (specifically Microsoft Azure).
  • Integrate Sectra's products and other healthcare systems, including Artificial Intelligence algorithms, using custom APIs and standard-based interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot issues while maintaining ongoing communication with customers.
  • Handle patient data in full compliance with privacy legislations.
  • Contribute to the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and carry out installation processes to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers.
  • Prototype and rigorously test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality.
  • Develop program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions.
  • Provide essential technical information, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams for proposals, quotes, and statements of work.
  • Create and maintain documentation to offer customers a reliable technical resource for effective product operation and maintenance.

So are you a fit?
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A degree in computer engineering with strong academic performance, or equivalent.
  • A passion for service excellence, with exceptional customer service.
  • Highly organized and deadline-driven and enjoy a fast-paced work setting.
  • Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, music, adventure or anything else that makes you stand out from the crowd.
  • Also nice to have:
    • Experience working with IT service desk or customer service.
    • Experience working with PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, IHE and other healthcare interoperability standards.
    • Experience working with Windows, MS SQL Server, SQL Server AlwaysOn, networks, Active Directory, server clustering, scripting tools, Microsoft Azure and VMware.
    • Ability to communicate in multiple languages (French would be a definite asset).
