Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager for the Water team within our Southeast One Water Group. This key role has technical responsibility for designing, organizing, and executing small-to-large sized water and wastewater projects for a variety of clients, with a focus on client service, environmental stewardship, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere. This position can work out of our Maitland, Jacksonville or Tampa, FL office.

Responsibilities
  • Technical responsibility for designing, organizing, and executing small to large sized water/wastewater projects for a variety of clients
  • Perform project tasks including planning, modeling, calculations, design, cost estimates, specifications, and permitting
  • Serve as the Lead Project Engineer on various water treatment projects in the Southeast Region from design through construction and start-up
  • Technical writing including generating proposals, preliminary design reports, pilot studies
  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Perform portions of large or complex multi-disciplinary projects
  • Identify opportunities to enhance organization's standards and delivery of services
  • Manage and mentor junior-level engineering staff
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines within the firm
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on work by others
  • Attend professional conferences and events to support individual career growth and promote Wright-Pierce

Essential Functions

Experience
  • 10 years water or wastewater engineering experience required
  • Additional reverse osmosis (RO) experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) & Bluebeam
  • Team leadership experience; managing direct reports and mentoring junior-level staff

Certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Florida

Education
  • B.S. Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
