GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Technical Expert of Plutonium Manufacturing & Operations to join our team. This position is full-time and will support Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project in Aiken, SC.

Overview

  • Provide technical expertise on plutonium manufacturing.
  • Assist with project flow sheets.
  • Review and prepare detailed diagrams and documents that outline the various processes, systems, and steps involved in plutonium plant operations.
  • Lead implementation of robust safety protocols.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
  • Overcome challenges and complete projects in any environment.
  • Work closely with engineering team.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field and 20+ years of relevant experience in plutonium processing and manufacturing.
  • Must have a working knowledge of federal (including DOE), state, and local codes and standards applicable to plutonium manufacturing.
  • Must be a team player and able to work well with others in pursuit of accomplishing program objectives.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to perform travel (with per diem) to Aiken, SC.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License, preferred.


Clearance & Citizenship Requirement

  • To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
  • Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
