Description:

Objective of the Position: Oversee and coordinate operations in our manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for leading and managing departments including Tooling, Engineering, Welding, and Maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations management, with a focus on process improvement, team leadership, and achieving production targets.

Essential Accountabilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Tooling, Engineering, Welding, and Maintenance departments. Ensure alignment of departmental goals with overall company objectives.
  • Manage and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Champion quality standards and adherence to safety protocols within the manufacturing environment. Implement measures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support production goals and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Oversee key projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to manufacturing operations.

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
  • Conduct all business-related activities for, and on the behalf of, Purem within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Purem Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or related industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with budget management, resource allocation, and project management.

Technical Expertise:
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
  • Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time.
  • Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.
