We are proud to announce the establishment of MSC Cruises Technical Department USA, a key milestone in our continued growth. This new entity will provide marine and technical support to the MSC Cruises fleet within the USA region and will serve as a vital link to our MSC Cruise Management office in London. Join us in shaping the future of excellence at MSC Cruises.
As Technical Manager - Attractions and Amusements, you will be responsible for ensuring that the various amusement attractions and simulators, on board Ships operating in USA, are working and in good shape (including parts supply and technical services). You will provide support to on-board Technical Crew regarding any issues that cannot be resolved without external involvement - and ensure that activities are shared with teams in other locations including Onboard Revenue and the Technical Amusement Team in Europe
Your Impact
Monitors the status of the various amusement attractions and simulators;
Provides support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and another electronic mediums;
Performs periodical surveys on board the various Ships to monitor the status of the attractions and simulators;
Keeps records of equipment failures and arranges technical intervention and/or spares delivery for a quick resolution;
Is the technical interface with OBR department for the Ships operating in USA;
Provides technical inputs for the definition of the OBR budget;
Is in charge to draft the technical maintenance budget for the various amusement attractions and simulators;
Manages the warranty for the attractions and simulators installed on board Newbuilding Ships;
Coordinates the activities to be carried-out with CTD Technical Amusement Team.
Your Journey so far
Experience working in a similar role within the Cruise Industry (preferred)
Experience working as First Engineer / Hotel Engineer / Similar on Cruise Ships
Fluent in written and spoken English;
Degree in engineering/technical disciplines
Advanced Excel-PowerPoint-Outlook Skills
Availability to travel, flexibility and problem solving skills
Able to work on the assigned tasks independently and efficiently, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines;
Self motivated, detail-oriented and organised;
Excellent communication (oral and written),
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
