Description:

The Technical Manager is responsible for supporting SUN and all its Partners corrugated machinery, with top focus on Kolbus Machinery, to independent and integrated box making companies within North America. This is a remote position with up to 75% travel throughout USA and Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet with customers and prospects to assist in technical aspects of business development and build relationships.
  • Support outside sales team by providing technical expertise to current and potential customers.
  • Evaluate customer requirements to include installation locations, mounting requirements, engineering drawings, CAD data, GD&T and inspection plans.
  • Generate sales revenues by performing technical presentations and demonstrating how our products meet customer's needs.
  • Prepare monthly reports to sales management and engineering on new product development recommendations and improvements to existing equipment.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as required.
  • Update job knowledge through further education, attending relevant association events and reading technical publications.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven and successful track record in sales or technical service/support of capital equipment - preferably in the corrugated industry and more specifically in plant production environments.
  • Knowledge of Kolbus equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude preferred.
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision to complete time sensitive tasks.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in basic computer applications including CRMs and Microsoft Office products.
  • Basic knowledge CAD helpful.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time in North America.
  • Technical degree a plus.
