Culmen International is looking for a Technical Manager to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.
The Technical Manager will oversee a laboratory team providing technical expertise, maintaining high-quality standards in biological research, and supporting assay execution and platform performance across multiple research areas.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
- Manage laboratory staff and day-to-day technical activities.
- Supervise and troubleshoot assay execution and data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLP/GMP, and biosafety standards.
- Support development and validation of research assays.
- Coordinate with scientific and administrative teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, or related discipline.
- 5+ years in laboratory operations with leadership experience.
- Proven supervisory and technical troubleshooting ability.
- Understanding of assay development, validation, and QA/QC.
- Experience with BSL-2/3 lab management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
