Technical PM (Java/Python Dev Background)

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager (PMP) with a strong background in software development to lead and manage IT projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in agile methodologies, a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• Lead project teams through all phases of SDLC, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with software development teams, leveraging your technical background to facilitate clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with project management best practices (PMP).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and success metrics.
• Drive agile processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Implement risk management strategies and track project performance using appropriate tools (JIRA, MS Project, etc.).

Requirements:

• PMP certification required.
• 8+ years of experience in software development and technical project management.
• Strong understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale IT projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Technical background in software development, with experience in programming, system architecture, or devops preferred.
