Job Description
A Technical Production Director, is responsible for supervising the audiovisual and
technological functions of The Nazarene. Duties include analyzing the operations to determine
strategies for using technology within the company, coordinating equipment purchases and
interpreting project briefs to identify a business's tech needs and project specifications.
Overseeing the audio and visual production process. Setting up and operating sound and lighting
equipment. Providing technical support for productions, programs and events. Working to
oversee the completion of projects and ensure that all technical needs are catered to. Providing
accurate equipment costs and setup time estimates. Recommending and using new technologies
to improve work for all employees and executives.
Responsibilities
The candidate must be comfortable working with both hand and power tools
Possess basic trouble shooting skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently are required
The candidate should comfortable working on ladders and heights
The candidate should be able to lift at least 20-30 lbs.
Thorough knowledge of all areas of theatrical production, particularly technical design and
technology.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather/analyze information
skillfully.
Ability to work well and calmly under pressure on projects, in group problem-solving situations,
and with people of varying experience levels.
Demonstrates progressive personnel management.
Strong verbal and written communication, diplomatic and leadership skills.

Multimedia shows and integrated systems experience - exhibitions, theater, concerts etc.
Base knowledge of media playback in Touch Designer
Advanced knowledge of video production environments like Disguise
Audio routing, soundboards like Avid Venue or Yamaha Pm5d, Dante ecosystem
HOG4 control ecosystem
Ubiquity networking
Basic knowledge of Python and visual scripting
Basic knowledge of Unreal or Unity
Basic knowledge of Stable Diffusion, Comfy Ui, Automatic1111 or other frameworks
Knowledge of DMX, LED protocols, electronics and kinetic devices
Knowledge of Meta Quest ecosystem
Preferred Skills
Experience with TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine, HOG4, Dante, and Ubiquiti hardware
for live production environments.
Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, and cloud-based tools.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience driving a scissor lift or forklift is a plus
