Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing technical programs in a cloud environment.
  • Experience in leading end-to-end (E2E) lifecycle of software development programs.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams or partnering with engineering, product management, and support teams to deliver cloud-native products.
  • Experience driving technical programs in telecommunications, retail domain, or content delivery networks (CDN).
  • Experience in release management.
  • Ability to interact effectively with technical groups, and executives.
  • Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and adapt key planning, execution, and reporting processes for unique product environments, which includes software, hardware, operations, support, and solutions.
  • Drive software development projects, ensuring timely delivery through planning and cross-functional coordination, including integration with third-party partners.
  • Manage release schedules and milestones, identify potential issues, and communicate them effectively to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA, product managers, and other engineering teams to ensure high-quality products and features are delivered throughout the software project lifecycle.
  • Lead technical programs for GDC, guiding cross-functional teams to bring products to market and using success metrics to inform future efforts.
