Technical Program Manager

Seeking qualified Technical Program Managers with 3+ years of experience in Electric Vehicle, Program/Project Management to fill a position in the highly competitive E-Mobility division. This position offers those engineers with passion for electrification and a focus on battery development an immense opportunity to manage battery systems for hybrid electric vehicle platforms. The location will be in Auburn Hills, MI.

Responsibilities:
  • Create effective project plans, manage program teams, and develop program presentations
  • Manage project finances against project deliverables, including burn rate tracking
  • Project work coordination, team management, task assignment, and readiness evaluation
  • Provide program risk assessments and mitigation plans
  • Interface with customer for all program planning and execution functions
  • Coordinate team responses for customer RFI's, RFP's, and RFQ's
  • Lead global resource coordination as required for program planning and execution
  • Conduct regular program reviews with senior management, internal and external

Qualifications:
  • BS Engineering degree
  • Minimum 3 years of technical project management experience
  • utomotive and/or commercial vehicle production experience
  • Professional communication skills
  • Project management and presentations skills
  • Experience working with OEM's and component suppliers
  • Excellent team management, risk assessment and leadership skills
  • Skilled in handling project technical issues and finding creative ways to resolve them
  • bility to develop effective technical plans based on program requirements
  • Proven strength in understand complex interacting systems
  • bility to remain agile and react quickly to program changes
  • Skilled in MS-Word, Excel, Project, Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in electric powertrain components (i.e., inverters, e-motors, batteries, chargers) and/or full system performance
  • Candidates with advanced degree
  • Product design and release experience
  • Well versed in the engineering development process, concept creation thru production launch
  • Well versed in electric powertrain safety and performance
  • Strong knowledge in global certification requirements for electric vehicles
  • PMP Certified
