DESCRIPTION:

This positon will manage day-to-day operations for a critical FMI business unit and be involved in the evolution and development of the product. The jobholder will develop and implement a variety of strategies to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction while maintaining world class quality performance. They will provide oversight and guidance to Team Members, follow up on projects assigned to staff and interact with the customer on key initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Perform activities by understanding customer needs, analyzing data, and recommending data driven solutions that benefit both the company and our customers.
  • Work effectively as a liaison between internal teams in multiple locations to ensure high-priority customer needs are being met.
  • Partner with the customer to establish clear business goals, timelines, priorities, and metrics of success.
  • Manage the hand-off between NPI and Production.
  • Identify challenges and provide relevant information and action plans to both internal and external customers.
  • Provide accurate demand visibility to fulfill operations planning and execution (capacity, materials, and resources).
  • Drive the development of detailed, achievable production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's production capacity.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 7-10 years of management/manufacturing/planning experience
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Experience in engineering- focused discussions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with executive level reporting
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Effective organization and planning skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Past experience with project management, customer success, and/or customer service
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities

  • Working knowledge and use of MRP, inventory control, production scheduling, and capacity planning tools

  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
  • Occasionally work near machinery
  • Moderate noise level
  • The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask, cleanroom suit) while in the production area.
