Description:

INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a background in automation and cloud solutions to manage a team of up to 15 people. The TPM will manage projects with a high level of technical expertise, bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. The TPM will work directly with our NIH customer and stakeholders to explore, analyze, and improve existing infrastructure and solutions and adopt new technologies to help modernize infrastructure, streamline operations, and implement new solutions as needed. This is an onsite position near Bethesda, MD

Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
  • Available to work onsite Monday-Friday standard day hours

Leadership and Management:
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to achieve desired mission results and ensure that Infrastructure, Storage, Networking, and Service Desk technology-related services fully align with IC mission and vision
  • Drive IT research, technology transfer, adoption of innovative methods and best practices to improve mission effectiveness
  • Lead, motivate, and provide guidance and support to multiple technical teams with high levels of autonomy
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively
  • Collaborate with the CIO to coordinate training and orientation programs for institute staff on new technologies or solutions

Project Planning and Execution:
  • Assist the CIO in developing a strategy for the successful implementation of initiatives
  • Meet with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements to meet business needs
  • Define scope, objectives, and requirements in alignment with strategic goals
  • Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Break down complex projects into manageable tasks and deliverables
  • Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Work with a business analyst to identify areas of optimization through automation
  • Work with a business analyst to develop and present business cases which describe reasons and justification for proposed projects and solutions based on estimated costs, risks, and expected future benefits
  • Have a strong focus on root cause analysis and getting implementation right the first time
  • Blend traditional Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices with Agile techniques to improve project execution and deliver on schedule and on budget

Technical Expertise and Problem Solving:
  • Assess and solve complex problems using root cause analysis
  • Have a strong focus on automation and simplification of task execution
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies and tools such as automations tools, AWS/Azure cloud migration, network infrastructure and security, Dell EMC storage, High Performance Computing (HPC), and VMware
  • Understand software design, architecture, and integration points necessary
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions

Education and Experience:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or 10+ years of IT experience including increasing responsibilities in information systems design and/or management
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with expertise in designing and managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
  • ITIL Intermediate (V3) Certification preferred
  • MS Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solution Architect certification desired
  • 4+ years of working with automation tools use and implementations
  • Good understanding of cloud security practices, including data protection, access management, and vulnerability assessment
  • Experience with cloud migration, IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud environments necessary
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure monitoring, optimization, and cost management
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and use it to inform actions and strategies
  • Ability to develop and present technical documentation, strategic roadmaps, and architecture recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and experience with the HHS EPLC management methodology desirable

Salary Range : $120,000.00-$160,000.00 USD

**Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, certifications and/or experience. Hiring at the maximum range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued compensation growth.**
