Technical Program Manager, EMC
The Electrical Systems Integration team at Zoox delivers validated firmware (FW), software (SW), and hardware (HW) packages to our vehicles, designs and validates vehicle level EMC performance and creates and maintains test platform (Botz) infrastructure.
As Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will plan team milestones, track internal and external issues, coordinate the execution of vehicle EMC testing at external labs, and deliver the complete EMC test plan and results. You will be the lead for assuring that we deliver EMC performance on time to support product launch. This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring constant communication with FW, SW, HW, and integration teams; a key task is to propagate lessons learned among these teams to improve the execution of subsequent development phases.
We are looking for an engineer that is passionate about autonomous driving, has strong problem- solving skills and a commitment to deliver on time.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the vehicle-level EMC validation plan and schedule based on company milestones
  • Work closely with the Advanced Hardware Engineering EMC component team to support delivery of component EMC testing in advance of vehicle level testing
  • Manage supplier provided EMC testing and reports, flag issues, work with EMC engineers to drive resolution
  • Report on issues identified, next steps, help needed and flag risks to program timing with appropriate mitigation plans
  • Drive the issues to closure on time with high quality. Including driving the change management process
  • Develop documentation on best practices for vehicle EMC testing of our robot
  • Create reports to effectively communicate the EMC results and open issues to key stakeholders


Qualifications
  • BS or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Experience: 3+ years of engineering plus 2+ years of program management
  • Experience testing vehicle systems (electrical, mechanical, HMI, dynamic, quasi-static, inspection)
  • Experience managing test assets
  • Knowledge of vehicle engineering or software validation process
  • Excellent writing skills, organization, verbal communication, leadership skills, and deadline driven
  • Track record in managing complex cross-functional projects
  • Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. JIRA, Gantt charts)


Bonus Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of requirements management tools (Polarion, JIRA)
  • Familiarity with CAN networks and vehicle system architecture
