Altrad is currently in search of experienced Insulation Technical Trainers to become a vital part of our team at a prominent Construction Project situated in Kitimat, BC. This role entails a 14:7 roster (or 20:8 roster - depending on the point of hire), working 10 hours per day. Flights and accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates on a Full-Time/Fixed-Term Contract basis. As a Technical Trainer, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering industrial insulation training programs for our field personnel and clients at the LNG Canada site. Your expertise will ensure that our teams are equipped with the necessary insulation skills and knowledge to excel in their roles while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Job Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and evaluate technical training programs for insulation operations.
- Perform Insulation Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments.
- Provide hands-on application training focusing on Insulation techniques and best practices.
- Conduct assessments and coaching to ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and Insulation supervisors to identify training needs.
- Foster a motivating and supportive learning environment.
- Stay updated with Insulaton industry trends and advancements.
- Perform additional duties as appropriate.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Trainer with Insulation fieldwork exposure.
- Red Seal Journeyperson Insulation qualification is highly desired.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Insulation with strong knowledge of hot and cold application techniques.
- High accuracy in data entry.
- Experienced in using Record Management Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality training programs.
- Understanding of qualifications frameworks and training requirements in Resources, Oil and Gas, and Construction Industries.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
