ECS is seeking a Technical Trainer to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. ECS is responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining a complete 'Data Services' solution which includes the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cyber data from more than 100 Federal agencies. The CDM Data Services product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating, implementing, and facilitating technical training programs, as well as drafting technical documentation such as user guides. This role will play a critical part in helping agencies improve their security posture and enhance the technical skills of the training team.

Job Description
The Technical Trainer will support the implementation of technical training programs and related materials. Specific responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver technical training programs, including virtual application training, to meet the needs of the training team and stakeholders
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content
- Collaborate with the Training and Communications Associate to establish course content and objectives
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as user guides and technical notes
- Support training needs assessment activities to identify areas for improvement and development of new training programs
- Monitor and analyze training metrics, respond to feedback and questions from training attendees
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical training and share knowledge with the training team
- Support other training and technical related activities as needed
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the listed level of competency for these skills:
- US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability
- Bachelor's degree with 4-6+ years of relevant experience in technical training design, development, and delivery
- Effective communication skills; ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of staff and management and be able to translate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Ability to learn new subject areas quickly and apply knowledge to technical training programs
- Experience as a content developer/editor, (including written materials, videos, and presentations) working with minimal supervision to coordinate across functional teams to produce quality deliverables
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Teams
- Experience with virtual application training creation, implementation, and facilitation
