Your contribution!

Reporting to the Senior Director - Operations, the Operations Compliance Technician is primarily focused on the implementation, adherence to, and consistent improvement of operational standards and procedures to ensure compliance with the NERC mandatory reliability standards, applicable utilities commission and interconnection electric system reliability operation standards, policies, and procedures.

Your day-to-day!
  • Responsible for Protection System Maintenance Programs (in compliance with PRC-005) for all Innergex US NERC-registered generation facilities;
  • Be the evidence gatekeeper for the Protection System Maintenance Programs, ensuring that:
  • all maintenance is carried out as and when required,
  • all historical maintenance evidence is retained, and
  • all evidence is assessed to prove compliance with the respective requirements.
  • Monitor and improve work management processes;
  • Produce monthly reports to demonstrate compliance with maintenance requirements;
  • Implement the Facility Ratings Methodology for all Innergex US NERC-registered generation facilities (in compliance with FAC-008);
  • Be the evidence gatekeeper for the Facility Ratings of each US NERC-registered generation facility, ensuring that all ratings and evidence to prove those ratings are accurate and up to date;
  • Maintain all Facility Ratings records;
  • Perform or support annual review and sign-off on all Facility Ratings documents;
  • BOP event reporting - ensure completion and accuracy of BOP Event Reports;
  • Protection system Operations and Misoperations reviews (in compliance with PRC-004);
  • New Construction/Acquisitions;
  • Support operations adoption process, focusing on Protection System Maintenance and Facility Ratings requirements;
  • Assist with due diligence reviews focusing on Protection System Maintenance and Facility Ratings documentation;
  • Assist Regulatory Compliance Team with evidence gathering and responses to Requests For Information from various regulatory and governmental entities, for all US projects;
  • Additional duties as required.

Your skills, our requirements!
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial operating environment;
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in electrical engineering or any other relevant field, or equivalent industry experience;
  • Experience with NERC mandatory reliability standards;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
  • Be in good physical condition, able to carry out physical tasks and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;
  • Have a valid driver's license in good standing;
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.

  • The position can be based at the San Diego (CA) office or remote.
  • This position is a P3 level.

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $90 000 - $107 000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
