JOB TITLE: Technology Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. Computer Sciences Degree preferred with 5 years experience in job related duties but other considerations may apply. Leadership experience to plan, direct, and coordinate activities for the Technology Department. Ability to coordinate scheduling and assigning of work, quality control, and decisions impacting the pay, status and tenure of others. Demonstrates adequate public relation skills. Must have a valid Oklahoma Drivers License. Must pass a National Criminal History Record Check. Must possess positive personal assets:

REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB GOAL: Supervises the operation, maintenance and monitoring of hardware components to include computers, network, peripheral equipment and systems throughout the district. Maintains the Districts Educational Television Channel and edits bulletins or video productions for public information and viewing over channel 10. Responsibilities may include the scheduling of resources while providing direction and instruction to staff concerning operating procedures and policies necessary to achieve district objectives, and the development of project plans using conventional program management tools.
DUTIES:
Advises technical services staff and delegates implementation of computer hardware, system procedures and network connectivity. Attends monthly Administrative meetings representing the technical services team, including, but not limited to providing information or concerns or solutions pertaining to network performance, server performance, and security performance, and makes recommendations based on policy and procedures. Arranges and coordinates human resources to resolve computer related issues and implements information technology solutions. Develops through collaboration with other technical services staff, technical solutions and technical advancements to computer problems. Directs the duties to monitor and maintain computer and network systems throughout the District. Actively participates and/or directs in installation and configuration of computer systems and networking hardware and software. Researches, evaluates and arranges for the purchase of computer and network hardware and associated software using the recommendations from the department's staff. Distributes all work order requests to Technical Staff and follows up to ensure each request is completed and parts ordered when needed for repair or replacement to complete a work request. Assigns and schedules work of Technical Staff members and approves leave requests. Maintains quality and quantity of work performed within the unit. Participates in recruiting, selecting and terminating employees for the department. Establishes expectations and provides employee performance feedback on an on-going and annual basis. Assists technical staff in establishing goals. Evaluates technical staff goal achievement through conferences or informal meetings. Provides recommendations regarding technical staff plans of improvement when necessary. Provides orientation and on-going training, mentoring and/or coaching to the Technical Staff. Recommends and makes provisions for staff members to attend outside training. May provide cross-training and interdepartmental training on technical issues.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to the public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to cooperate in a team effort with other employees.
