Title - Technology Operational Risk Group Manager
Location - New Jersey, New York, or Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools as well as governance processes, to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls and emerging risks
  • Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk and losses, by challenging both historical and proposed practices
  • Governance and oversight may include, but not limited to, technology operational risk, cyber risk
  • Serve as oversight and functional support within the business and/or as an independent risk team member. Drive operation risk management by anticipating, mitigating, and respective recovery
  • Plan and ensure operation risk policies are implemented and exception approved
  • Inform Operational Risk Council on sub segment level or related matters
  • Attends Business Risk Committees - who lead and oversee the annual Key Risk Indicator, KRI, reviews
  • Monitors KRCIs triggers and thresholds and analyze the Business Liaises with Business ORM on breaches and action steps to correct breaches.
  • Communicate and escalate breaches in KRCIs at the Segment Level
  • Works on T-10 deep-dive root cause analysis with support of Business ORM and drive corrective actions
  • Exports standard methodologies and common risk controls and corrective actions through Framework Papers
  • Ensures that client wide KORs and KRCIs are communicated and understood by Businesses
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding client and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws rules and regulations
  • Adhere to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior conduct and business practices and escalate managing and reporting control issues with transparency as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Required Skills

  • 10 to 15 years experience and relevant credentials
  • 10 years of significant relevant experience working in an Operational Risk, Technology Risk, IT, Audit, Operational Control, Information Security or related field - Financial services industry experience preferred
  • Establish understanding, and hands on experience preferred with software design, application development, distributed systems, SDLC and/or technology operations
  • Project management experience
  • Strong analytical skills - exhibiting ability to solve complex problems in new and varied environments, aligning with processes and using technologies will be helpful
  • Experience with compliance will be helpful
  • Understanding of financial regulation, operational management, vendor management and RCSA or related control processes, across a global environment will be helpful
  • Demonstrable ability to analyze and monitor risk control issues through to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibit strong influencing negotiating skills with attention to detail
  • Bachelor's University degree Master's degree preferred

Salary Transparency

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $110841 - $145000 / year.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
